No drugs + ankara midi skirt

Hey Chicas,

I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was devoid of outdoor activities as I needed to chill and catch up on lost sleep. However, instead of snoozing as planned, I stayed up lateevery night, watching old tv shows such as Girlfriends, Living Single, and Different World ( Gosh! I am obsessed with this show, and I'd love to raid Whitley Gilbert's wardrobe). While it was fun watching tv and sleeping late, It was hard getting up for work this morning. Asides being extremely sleepy on a Monday morning, the train was 25 minutes late, and I totally got drenched in the rain (not a great way to start the week)! Thankfully, I keep a change of clothes at work and I was able to dry off and waltz into my Monday meeting like I did not just have the worst morning. Whoosa!

Anyway, I was a vendor at an event couple weeks ago. And to perform my vendor duties, I wore a midi ankara skirt and a F21 tee. The tee had been sitting in my closet for a few months and I had envisaged rocking it with dark skinny jeans, or denim shorts and a bowler hat. However, I was running late for the event and did not have time to iron the shirt that I originally wanted to wear. This tee was fuss free and I thought it'd look great paired with the skirt. I think the ensemble worked out well. What says you?

Electric blue and gold dusts

These pictures have been sitting in my draft for few months now. To be honest, I do not love the look (eyebrows to be specific) and while I shared one of the pictures on Instagram, I was skeptical about sharing more frames here. As I have mentioned several times, I am not great with eyebrows and I think my eyebrows look particularly odd here. But hey, I think it's only fair to share the not so good pictures . Now, to the main post...
When it come to eye shadow, I am a pink, gold, peach, bronze type girl and I usually shy away from blue, greens and overly loud colors. However, I decided to get out of my comfort zone and give these colors a shot. Here's the result.

Eyes: Inner corner- House of Tara "Oseken" (teal shade)|Middle color-Loreal hip duo "showy" (dark blue shade)| outer corner-Mac "Beauty marked",random gold dust
Lips: NYC nude lip color & Revlon "Supernatural"
Face: Revlon colorstay foundation| Mac blot pressed powder

That's all folks. Happy hump day!

Travel Therapy: Montreux-Vevey area, Switzerland

The 3rd installment from my Europe trip features my day trip to the scenic and beautiful towns of Montreaux & Vevey. Other than my painful shoes, I had the most perfect day in this picturesque region. My time there was spent visiting the famous Chateau de Chillon and just generally chilling by the seaside. We briefly visited Lausanne, but at that point, I was too tired to whip out my camera.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Summer therapy: My must haves-items including plus size options!

Due to the warmer days, I am doing a post on some of the summer items I fell in love with from One Stop Plus , Topshop and House of Fraser
Check it out!

What is summer without a chic floral dress? With bright colors and bold prints, floral pieces give a playful yet feminine vibe! Dress from Topshop

This gorgeous plus size dress from One Stop Plus is a great choice for an "all white" summer party or boat cruise. The embellished neckline and simple silhouette offers the right amount of elegance.

Lace and pastel are big trends this season and this pastel and lace combo from House of Fraser captured my heart! Though delicate, it makes an uber chic statement!

I have a thing for cross body bags and if money wasn’t an object, this fab Tory Burch snake skin bag would be making its way to my closet.

There you have it — my summer must-haves. Are you guys lusting after anything this season? Please drop a comment and share with me!

Have a fab week
