Retro Receptionist on Color Crack for a Dime

Omozee says,

I call it "Retro receptionist on color crack for a dime"- lol. Now you all know Madame CT (Chic Therapy ) is the Queen of colors. She inspired this Outfit. Everything I have on apart from the
shoes and clutch is totally thrifted or got from Le Chateau mama (My mothers closet)

-"shoemetro" store on ebay, they sell big sizes (11-13) designer and non designer shoes for my broke student- worker pocket .I paid 55 bucks for these babies and can I say comfort is an understatement I can work, do my happy dance, run to catch the 6.30am bus, skip hop to the bathroom and the list goes on in these shoes :)
Clutch is from my girl MO - I have about 6 clutches. I love the way it doubles up for work and play .
The skirt - thrifted for 2bucks
Chanel earrings clippies and turquoise coveted necklace - mama's closet
The Vest or Cami is from Marks and Spencer (eons ago)
Jacket is thrifted for 10bucks (I love the details OMG this was made for me, you can tell it is tight but I do dont care **huge satisfied grin** )
Purple is my favorite color and it was fun mixing it and yes, a lot of people asked why I dont obey the dress down rules on friday. Well I dont obey rules period. I know every other person will be in jeans and slacks and I want to look different . Isnt looking and being different a good thing?

Ciao folks

A day in the life of an Ankara Short

Out and about the city-08/14/10

Initially, i was going to wear my new Ankara shorts with my boat shoes

Just before leaving the house, i decided to wear my ruffled sandals.

Then i decided the shorts were too long and 'chop chop' i cut and wore them without fixing the hemline.:-)

Ran into a parade downtown.

The cutest jewelry store.

They had quirky accessories

I love my uncultured persons tshirt

That's all fabulous ones.Have a great day

Cheesing in Coral

Wooohooooooooooooooooooooo!I won a ring at the give away contest on ooh,EyeLikeit. This is my second win on blogger and my third freebie.I really can get used to this :-)

Anyway, this is what i wore to dinner with friends at Cheesecake factory. The top really is coral (or some shade of orange) but the color ended up looking different when photographed.

I look weird here. :0)

You cant really see the shoes, but they are almost 6 inches(5.75").They however, are really really comfy cos of the platform.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

These are a few of my favorite bags

A blogger, suggested a while back when i left a comment on her blog , to write about my bag collection.I will be fulfilling her wishes and doing just that today.I am a bag lover and i love bags of all sorts .Since i live in a city and use the train,i usually buy the ones that have long straps and can be put across the body for easy handling.

I love the pink neon bag here, it was my best friend during grad school as it adequately housed my 14" laptop and other school items .The orange bag actually is a clutch bag but i ripped the chain off another bag and attached it to this one.
I went shopping with my dad and he paid for this bag so i have this weird attachment to it.

I like the mixture of texture here. The pink part is patent with raise patterns and the brown part is regular faux leather.
The purple bag above is a favorite, it's so huge i could fit a child in it.

Fell in love with the button details on this little misses.

and these are a few of my favorite bags!

Clutch Culture

Omozee is not a stranger here on Chic Therapy. She's guest blogged twice already and today Omozee will be letting us into the wonderful world of Clutch Culture.Enjoy

Hello Everyone, today my spotlight is on Mo Handahu of Clutch Culture. Mo is the creator of Clutch culture and her work embodies what i call the 3 B's ; Big, Bold & Bright. Using African fabrics like kente, batik , ankara & asoke, Mo creates unique custom made clutches.

Give a young African Canadian Entrepreneur some love , head on to her website and see what she is doing, you will be so glad you did. Thats all for now my darlings. I will be back soon. Much Love Omozee

Go to ClutchCulture and check out Mo's gorgeous collection.

Inspired by Simply Chic's outfit in this post.

My brother laughed when he saw me in this. He said i looked like Father Christmas (Santa Claus ). I paid him back by making him take about 70 shots of me in my Santa suit. :-)

Fabulous Friday

Can you believe it's Friday already?Hurrah for Friday!!!!I do not have much going on this weekend but i do plan to make it out to a flea Market on Sunday.Usually i am too lazy to do anything on Sundays, but i really do want to see this market and hopefully, snag a few treasures.

Anyway, these pictures were taken at a church picnic in May. I choose to wear black and white, and I added the orange flats for a pop of color.

Hope you all have a great weekend.See ya on Monday.:-)

why do i always have to pose like this? :-)

because Kate dreamt about me

I was randomly browsing online when i came across Kate Spade's fall collection.I love the vibrant hues in this collection. Those colors, scream CHIC THERAPY and it feels like they were made just for me.I particularly love the yellow patent bag, wish i could covet it.Check out Kate Spade webbie for more.

she looks a bit like Tisha Campbell-Martins
