Afro, sneakers, Kate Spade Saturday, et al

It was random Friday in May, the weather was cool enough for me to wear a sweatshirt, but still warm for a pair of denim shorts.

My friend Bibi (not pictured) and I didn't have any Friday night plans, so we decided to go check out one of my fave store, Kate Spade Saturday

The 40% closing sale got us excited, and after Bibi made her purchase, we decided to have fun with the bright yellow cards at the register!

Can you tell that I really had nowhere else to be--story of my boring life!

Bronze /Gold Greek Goddess Makeup

When I bought this headband, I knew it would be the perfect accessory for a Greek goddess golden makeup. And so last Saturday, I set out to achieve this look. 

Though not visible in the pictures, I braided both sides of my hair and tied both braids together, then tucked the rest of the hair in the tie. For the makeup, I pretty much did a standard face, but used gold, shimmery purple, and bronze eyeshadow on my lids. To get that golden/bronze glow, I used an ample amount bronzer on my t zones and cheeks, and also swiped a bit of gold eyeshadow on my lips.

If I were to re-do this look, I'd tone down the lips and the bronzer on my nose bridge, but in all, I didn't do too shabby. What do you think?

Can you guys believe that it’s already mid-June? It seems like it was just yesterday I was making my new year’s resolution, and now we are almost halfway through the year!!

 Anyway hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was a very chilled one. It was actually a three day weekend for me, as I took time off on Friday for a much needed mental health day—lol! 

Today’s post features a dress I wore to a wedding last month. Like I have mentioned several times (here and here), I love the brand “Taylor Dresses”. Their silhouette works really well for me, so I always stock up on their dresses whenever they are on sale at Nordstroms, Lord & Taylor and TJ Max.

Lipstick diaries: Berri Raine by Coloured Raine

Hey Chicas, so in this post I promised that I was going to do a review of the purplish-pink lipstick I got from Coloured Raine. This shade is called Berri Raine, and It is one of the popular shades from the Matte Lip Paint collection. Berri Raine sells out really fast, and I had to stalk the site before I finally got a hold of it. 

Everything I said about Raine Fever in this post holds true for Berri Raine, so I wont go into any details about the product specs. I absolutely love this shade, and if you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that I wear it 80% of the time. It is a very bold color, so I always keep the rest of my make up minimal when I wear it.

 I do not have anything negative to say about this product. It is pretty, long-lasting, and paraben-free. What more can a lipstick addict ask for?

Portraits over the years

Hey chicas, hope everyone had an amazing week? Mine was a bit rough, but I am glad the weekend is finally here.

So the other day I was looking through pictures on my computer and saw that I had taken quite a few decent pictures on my Nikkon D5000 and Canon t2i & t3i. So instead of the regular outfit makeup, and travel post,I am sharing some portraits I have taken of friends, family, strangers, and acquaintances since I transitioned to a DSLR camera.Enjoy!
