So fresh & so cute,cute

I am so loving Rihanna in her Seventeen Magazine photo shoot (August Edition).One actually forgets how young and pretty she really is (thanks to her mask of edginess and "bad girl" image). I definitely prefer this fresh look. I seriously want to covet the mint green skirt with the purple sash.

Chic Therapy's eyes are on...Anita Quansah London

It's always a pleasure finding creative people and i was definitely impressed when i came across London Based Designer Anita Quansah. A graduate of textile design at Chelsea College of Art and Design London, Anita is inspired by her passion for creativity, travel, nature, art, architecture, fashion and music of past and present generations. She describes her work as "eclectic stylish and expressive one-off pieces of clothing and neckpieces that fuses together timeless sophistication with great originality using recycled and vintage materials".

Anita has had some of her Designs featured in editorials such as German Vogue, British Vogue, Elle UK.com, Dare2magazine, Muse, German Tush, Pref and Vision. She has also worked with the best in the industry such as DKNY, Diane Von Furstenberg, Ischiko, Victoria Secret, Ecko and textiles Weisbrod Zurrer and Sandy Starkman. In 2004 she collaborated with Christian Lacroix in designing and embroidering a jacket that was featured on Haute Couture runway show in Paris.Another admirable factor about her is that each piece in her latest jewelry collection is handmade in UK using the finest of materials.

I have no doubt that this Designer will soon be a household name and a force to reckon with in the fashion industry.

Simple & Chic + P Square at the BET Awards

I tried to come up with three looks i liked at yesterday's BET award but couldn't. I didn't really find any of the outfits that interesting. Lala gets my vote for this simple and chic number.





















In other BET award news; P Square, (popular Nigerian singing duo)showed up at the award rocking the national colors.I wasn't feeling the outfit but still proud of my boys.

Chic Therapy's eyes are on...Fatima Said

So i featured a post on Fatima Said & Yaya from ANTM (see here) and then a commenter brought it to my notice that she was featured in the BCBG spring 2010.I found the pictures somewhere online, and this Iman look alike definitely stepped up her game in this photoshoot. she looked absolutely stunning. I will however, like to see her in something more commercial just to see how soft and cutesy she can be.She was my favorite Model on that cycle and i am really happy she is finding work.

Boxing Kitten Resort 2010 Collection + I WON!!

I just came across the Resort Collection by Boxing Kitten on True Queen (a fab blog i just discovered).The Resort collection by Maya lake, owner of Boxing Kitten exudes femininity, fun and funk.I was blown away by the burst of colors and the fact that the Ankara ( a fabric that is widely used in Africa and is very much part of our culture) was used, made me fall deeply for this collection. Fierceness Rescurrected

We all know the drill with ANTM chics, they win the cycle(or not) and then go into oblivion right after the show.This however, is not the case with Yaya & Fatima who were 1st and second runner up in their respective cycles. I recently came across pictures of both ANTM Alumnus and it is really nice to see them working with major publications.
